IV. Complex Teragons (3rd group)

There are a considerable number of order 7 complex teragons, including 32 with outlines similar to the symmetric tile, but incorporating voids. They come in two groups with different sizes of solid and void areas. The smaller group of 8 is shown below.

The distribution of solid and void areas is more easily seen when the weight function is plotted, as below.

The unit cells are shown below. It is not obvious from visual inspection that the 6 copies make up a unit cell, but this is confirmed by plotting the weight function for the unit cell.
